In doing research for an upcoming unit on Nutrition, I came across these great resources from the USDA. Their Choose My Plate curriculum is number 1 on this list of FREE curriculum resources! After that, I was on a mission to find what other resources I could find and share.
1. The Serving Up MyPlate curriculum is designed for 3 different levels, 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, and 5th and 6th. They also have an early childhood and Kindergarten program as well. You can order free teacher's guides as well as posters, parent handouts, and sets of emergent readers!
2. Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Dental Health Curriculum. This kit is designed for students in Pre-K through 1st grade and includes a video, posters, storybooks, teacher's guide, and toothbrush and toothpaste samples for each student. Order yours here!
You can also download their free app!!
3. GIA Kids. Get a few new ideas for your Rocks and Minerals unit with the "Story of a Gem: How Stones Become Rock Stars." Explore their website and download their curriculum for students in grades 3-5. It includes 4 inquiry-based, hands on, standards based lessons.
